A Perfect Day in Sedona, Arizona

Explore the beautiful desert town, red rocks, local art and delicious cuisine.

We started our day by driving to Chapel of the Holy Cross; a lovely small church in the red rocks. You can hike up to the church or drive and park in their small parking lot. The parking is limited, but we were able to find a spot around 9am.

One of my favorite areas to walk around is Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. There are wonderful art galleries to explore, unique shops and fabulous restaurants. The village is stunning and inspired by the Mexican village, Tlaquepaque which means “best of everything”. After a little shopping we ate at Rene’ Restaurant for lunch. I had their signature chicken salad which was refreshing and light for a hot day and my husband enjoyed the escargot and southwest crab cakes. The service is top notch and food is delicious.

One of our favorite experiences was the Pink Jeep Tour! The tour was scenic, bumpy and so much fun! Our tour guide, Iris was informative and fun which made the experience even more wonderful. The tour we took was the scenic rim which lasted two hours. I highly recommend the Pink Jeep Tour if you have time or do not want to hike.
