There are so many beautiful places to take photos, learn about history and see iconic landmarks in San Francisco, California. Here are a few of my favorites!
One of my absolute favorite places to walk around in SF is Palace of Fine Arts. The palace was originally built in 1915 inspired by the Roman ruins by architect, Bernard Maybeck. The beautiful venue holds events for the arts and is a wonderful place for photos.
There are so many great places to take photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, my favorite is at the overlook. Make sure to go in the afternoon, the morning has too much fog to see the bridge clearly.
Lovers’ Lane is a quick and easy hike starting at Funston Avenue and Presidio Blvd. Walk through the beautiful artwork, “Wood Line”, an outdoor piece of art by artist and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy.
The Painted Ladies are a beautiful row of Victorian homes across from Alamo Square Park. If you grew up watching Full House like me, you are familiar with the homes. Go to the park for a great view of the homes and city.
The 16th avenue tiled steps make for the perfect photo background. There are 163 mosaic steps located in Golden Gate Heights Neighborhood. Make sure to bring a jacket or sweater, the wind is chilly since you are up so high.
Pier 39 is great for the whole family; walk along the pier, enjoy fresh seafood and checkout the sea lions. My favorite place for photos is by the beautiful California mural and in front of the boats.
Where is your favorite place to take photos in San Francisco? 💛
